Ministry Teams

Ministry Teams are a great way to get involved at GPS! All of our Ministry Teams gather on the 1st Monday of each month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We begin all together with a devotion and announcements and then go into individual team meeting time. At the end we come back together to share updates from each team. Teams are always looking for new members to join them. See the names and descriptions of our Ministry Teams below to find one that interests you. Want more information? Contact Pastor Brandon.

  • Social Ministry Team

The Social Ministry Team coordinates the ministries of GPS that focus on serving those outside of our faith community, such as the Helping Hands Pantry, our partnership with Maple/Ralston Elementary, and more. This team also is on the lookout for new ways we can serve and new partnerships we can create in the community.

  • Prayer & Care Team

The Prayer & Care Team ensures that the members and regular attendees of GPS are taken care of and prayed for in times of need and times of joy. This includes praying over all prayer requests received, sending cards as needed, setting up meal trains when requested.  If you need some prayer or care email us at prayer@gpsfaith.com

  • Community Life Team

The Community Life Team is responsible for the things that help create a sense of community at GPS, such as Sunday morning hospitality, connecting with returning visitors, and coordinating opportunities for fellowship (potlucks, outings, etc.).

  • Worship Team (Altar Guild)

The Worship Team focuses on ensuring GPS is ready for worship services on Sunday mornings. This includes preparing and cleaning up Communion as well as set-up for special worship services (i.e. Baptisms, Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.).

  • Building & Grounds Team

The Building & Grounds Team oversees basic and some skilled maintenance of the building as well as upkeep of the grounds. This team coordinates an annual church-wide cleaning day, is responsible for mowing in the warm months and snow/ice removal in the cold months, and works to keep the building in good shape.
